Mapping Census Data
In this workshop, you will learn how to retrieve census data and join the data with census TIGER shapefiles, a public domain data source which has many geographic features. Using ArcMap, you will create choropleth maps, thematic maps in which areas are shaded in proportion to the measurement of the statistical variable being displayed on the map, such as population density or per-capita income. Taking Introduction to ArcMap prior to this workshop is strongly encouraged.
